FCCB Public Events

You will learn the vital skill of replacing gear and brake cables as well as their housing. Cables can get stretched, worn, or frayed over time and keeping them fresh will make keep your brakes working and your gears shifting!

If time allows, this workshop may also address wrapping handlebars as part of the cable replacement process.

This is a free event for the public, but a suggested donation of $15 is appreciated. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.

You will learn to identify potential problems before they occur! We'll teach you to identify brake wear, stretched chains, dry rotted tires, and more! You will receive hands-on instruction for fundamental tasks such as cleaning and lubricating your chain and inflating innertubes.
